    By the young age of 4, King Henry VIII had already been appointed Constable of Dover Castle, Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, Earl Marshal of England, Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, and Order of the Garter. He was also admitted into the Order of the Bath, made Duke of York, and made Warden of the Scottish Marches. His brother Arthur passed away in 1502 and Henry soon succeeded him in 1503 for the Dukedom of Cornwall, Prince of Wales & Earl of Chester. In 1509 his father died, leaving him the throne
