    After the English rock band The Yardbirds had completely broken up and left a young The New Yardbirds, soon to be Led Zeppelin, touring playing covers of thier songs on thier return to the UK they decided they wanted to be thier own band an changed their name to Led Zeppelin and started recording their own music and realeased their debut, self-titled album Led Zeppelin that sold over 9 million copies worldwide. Led Zeppelin were one of the few metal bands to influence the creation of Grunge.

    Things had been rocky since bassit Brian Marshall left the band in 2000, but they worked on Weathered for most of 2001. When Weathered was released with it's six singles, one of which was My Sacrific which earned the band a nomination for best rock performance by a duo or group with vocal in 2003. The album was a comercial best seller and debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200. It remained at that spot for 8 weeks, a record that Creed shares with The Beatles.

    Coming from nowhere but with inspiration from Nirvana, Seether released their first official album called Disclaimer. This didn't realy gain them much credibility, but they did tour continually so they could gain sales and public recognition.
    They got their big break when Seether was selected to be Evanescences supporting act. During this tour Seether reworked thier acoustic ballad, Broken, as an electric ballad with guest vocals by Amy Lee from Evanescence.

    Things went from bad to worse for Creed after a Stapp being involved in a car accident which led to him taking various types of medication whilst on tour.
    This led to a lot of contraversy, with critics saying that Stapp was so intoxicated and/or medicated that he was unable to sing the lyrics to a single Creed song.
    After these event Creed were inactive for over a year, it was announced that Creed had disbanded.
