The Federalists were created, becoming the first political party in the United States. They were a strong bonded government putting their policies together.

Democrats

The Democratic party started in 1792. There has been a total of 15 Democratic presidents in the United States, Andrew Jackson being the first and Barack Obama being our president now.

Republicans

The Republicans began in 1854 in Ripon, Wisconsin. They didn't llike slavery. They were against it and the Democrats were for it. They made this and turned even some Democrats into Republicans by sticking up against slavery.
