The student newspaper Bear Growls is published. Now students who are taking courses on journalism are working hands on, demonstrating skills they are learning. Students are working with first amendment rights within the public education system. -
Phoenix College Elects first Black Student Body President
Eldridge Gonaway was elected the first African American student body president. Phoenix College was never segregated, and events like this show that Phoenix College is committed to diversity and educated all learners. -

Technology Courses at Phoenix College
