Personal Timeline

  • My birth

I was brought to this world by my mother. I am very grateful for that.
  • Moving to America

Moving to a different country is hard because it takes time to get use to the new environment. It took me some time, but it got better when I started making friends. So this experience was the biggest change in my life, but the best one.
  • Moved to Bakersfield

We had to move to Bakersfield because of my dad's work. If we didn't move, I would only see my dad every 2 months which would have been horrible. At first, I hated Bakersfield because it was scorching hot here and it was always breezy in Hayward. I slowly got used to the weather here and kind of like it, but I still miss Hayward.
  • Graduated Junior High with straight A's

My two years at Thompson Junior High were great and I am really proud of my achievements. I worked really hard to keep up the good grades. Most of my friends went to West so we don't get to see each other a lot and I miss them. I created many sweet memories there which will stay with me forever.
  • First day of Hight School

My first day at the High School was nothing like the High School Musical. It was nothing like I expected, but I have some great friends who made my freshman year a lot better. Starting high school was like the first step toward college because everything you do here counts towards college. So you better stay on top of things.
  • Saw snow for the first time

I have always had the dream to see snow since I was little. So when we went to see my cousin in New York during Christmas break, I got to see snow. It was fun, but very cold and I got sick there. While we were there, I also saw Niagara Falls. One thing that I did realize was that we appreciate things more when we don't get them often.
  • My grandpa passed away

This March was a very sad month for me because my grandpa passed away. We didn’t see each other for 5 years because he lives in India. I do miss him a lot because he was my biggest inspiration and he was the best. He always told me to follow my dreams and focus on my goals. He also told me to stay humble and respect others. Our memories together will always stay with me forever.
  • Tried out for tennis

I have never tried out for a sport because I thought that the was not good enough and I will never make the team. This year my friends encouraged me to try out and I did, but I was very nervous. Surprisingly, I made in JV. So I learned that trying out new things is not always a bad idea. This changed me as a person because now I am not afraid to do things out of my comfort zone.
  • Went to Universal Studios for the first time

This summer my cousins from New York came and we all went to Universal Studios. It was the most funnest day in this summer vacation. Going there taught me some patience because the lines were so long. We waited for two and half hours for the Harry Potter ride. The ride was worth the wait so I wasn’t mad about it.
  • Lost my first Tennis match

I was very sad when I lost my tennis match, but I didn’t give up. So I practiced harder every time at practice and improved the skills I was bad. At the next tennis match, I played doubles and we won that match. Yesterday, I played my first real singles match and I won that too. That day I learned that if I focus on my goals, I will achieve them no matter what. I was really proud of myself.
