I was recruited by ODU to possibly swim for them. This was my second recruiting trip to a college and I wanted ODU to like me because they were a Division I school for swimming which is the top collegiate level.

I was accepted to my top pick for college. I was excited to live on the East coast since I have lived in the Midwest my whole life.

I got the letter that I was officially recruited to the ODU swim team.

I had been struggling with the decision for a while but finally during my junior year I made the life changing decision to pursue English. I did however gain valuable information and skills during my time as a Biology major.

On this day I swam in my last meet of my college career. I have been swimming since I was 8 and I have never been committed to something longer than my time commitment to swimming.

I started my internship at a software company on this day. I learned so much about how to write manuals and instructions. Everything I learned in my technical writing class was helpful in this professional endeavor.
