Reichstag Fire Decree
This law was put into place by President von Hindenburg. This law took away freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right for people to assemble. This meant that the government now could control what was being published to citizens of Germany. This shows persecution against jews because this law took away the free will from jews because the government could now control everything related to groups. -
Enabling Act
Hitler could make anything a law without having to check with other people. This means that Hitler had the power. This shows persecution against jews because Hitler could do anything he wanted to jews and not get in trouble for it. -
Civil Service Law
The law removed Jews and political opponents of the Nazis from civil service positions including school, university and government jobs. This shows persecution against jews because it blocks the jews from being successful, such as owning a business or getting an education. -
Education Law
The law stated that Jewish students could be no more than 5% of the student population of any public school or university. This shows persecution against jews because it blocks education for jews, therefore not allowing them to learn and stopping them from getting a job. -
Burning of “Un-German” Books
All books that were positive and written by Jewish authors were burned. This shows persecution against jews because it blocks diversity and different culture’ -
Hitler Becomes Fuhrer
On August 19, Hitler abolished the office of the president and announced that he was the leader of Germany. This shows persecution against jews because he could make anything a law and no one could stop him. -
Reich Citizenship Law
This law defined who the German government considered who was German and who was a jew. This shows persecution against jews because the government could confirm someone is 100% a jew, even if they’re not. -
Kristallnacht Attacks
All German leaders declare an attack on all Jewish buildings, synagogues, businesses, and homes. This shows persecution against jews because this event caused the death of thousands, and they were not able to prepare. -
First Kindertransport Arrives
The desperation of jewish parents would lead themselves to send their children to live in children's homes, like foster care, distant relatives in Great Britain and hoping they would refuge from Nazi persecution. This shows persecution against jews because while some of the jewish children were able to escape, others were caught and put into camps. -
St. Louis Sails.
Jewish refugees rode to other countries for safety, Cuba, the United States, and Canada all denied access. This shows persecution against jews because they were denied access, so they were blocked from getting in another country for safety. -

Jews were taken to a cemetery and a mass shooting happened. The bodies were buried in the cemetery. Szeina was one of the victims.
