Jimin studied with V at Korean Arts High School, an institution from which he graduated in 2014 then enter Global Cyber University.

For the mini album, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1, released in April 2015, he participated in the composition of the song "Boyz with Fun." He subsequently collaborated in the composition of his solo, "Lie", from the album Wings. The song was described as dramatic and impressive, as well as conveying deep emotions and tones that help to reflect the overall concept of the album.

From 2016 to 2018, Jimin supported graduates of Busan Hodong Elementary School, his alma mater, by covering uniform expenses. After news of the school's closing was released, he donated summer and winter middle school uniforms to the final graduates and gifted autographed albums to the entire student body.

On October 24, 2018, he received the Order of Cultural Merit, specifically the fifth class (Hwagwan), by the President of South Korea along with the other members of the group for their role in promoting Korean culture.

On January 3, 2019, the platform announced that "Promise" had surpassed the record set by Drake's "Duppy Freestyle" for the biggest 24-hour debut ever. Described by Billboard as a "mellow pop ballad", the song was composed by Jimin and Big Hit producer Slow Rabbit, who also produced the track, and features lyrics written by Jimin and fellow BTS member RM.

On December 24, 2020, Jimin released his second solo effort "Christmas Love", a song about his childhood memories of the holidays.
