    The Great Depression was a giant economic depression that affected the whole world. It ended in about 1939. This is important because it affected almost everyone and it was a really hard time for everyone.

    This was the second world war that started because of Germany (Hitler) attacking Poland. The war ended in 1945. This was important because tons of people were tortured and killed and this war involved the whole world.
  • The Bombing of Pearl Harbor

    This was a surprise bombing by the Japanese of the US navy base in Hawaii. This was important because this is what caused the US to join World War II.
  • The Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    This is when the US dropped an atomic bomb on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This happened near the end of World War II. This is important because it killed tons of people, they are the only atomic bombs to ever be used in warfare, and it helped end the second world war.

    This was a battle to gain more power and nuclear weapons between the US and the Soviet Union. It finally ended in 1991. This was important because it, there were lots of tensions in the world, and it collapsed the soviet union.

    This was the beginning of the Korean War. This war was in korea and between North Korea, China, and the Soviet Union against South Korea, and the US. The war ended in 1953. This was important because it established South Korea as its own country

    The President John F. Kenedy was assassinated while riding in a motorcade in Dallas Texas. This is important because he was a president that lots of people liked and was only one of a few presidents to be assassinated. Also this was a tramatic event for many people, especially the people who were there witnissing it.

    This was a space mission to send people to the moon. This was the first time people had set foot on the moon. This is important because it was the first time humans had been to the moon and it marked a major advande in technology.

    This was a war in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. It was between northern Vietnam and southern Vietnam with the US. The war ended in 1975. This was important because there were lots of casualties and the US didnt win.
