'Great-Aunt Birte' 's Funeral
Great-Aunt Birte, a character made up as a cover, has her funeral. Inside the casket are blankets and jackets for the Jews being smuggled out. -
The Departure
All the Jews leave to go to Uncle Henrik's ship. They will leave in the morning, to go to Sweden where it is safe. -
Mama Breaks Her Ankle
On the way back from dropping the Jews off to the boat, Mama trips on a root and breaks her ankle. -
The Package/Soldier Encounter
Annemarie has to deliver a package to Uncle Henrik's boat before he leaves. In the package is a handkerchief that make the dogs unable to smell the humans in the boat. On her way to the boat, she meets some soldiers. She passes their inspection and gives the package to Uncle Henrik. -
Peter Dies
Peter, Lise's fiancee and a member of the Resistance, dies. -
Annemarie Wears Star of David
Annemarie decides to wear Ellen's Star of David until she returns. -
