the jews finally arrive in Birkenau and were forced to be in two lines, females to one line and males in the other. Thats the last time elie and his father ever see the rest of their family again.

The germans made the jews watch three people get hanged (two men and a young boy) and when they were done the germans made the jews look at their faces and that night elie said the soup tasted like corpses.

The jews were forced to under go opstacles to show that their strong enough to stay and not go to the crematorium, Elie made it the first time but his father didn't but on the second time, his father made it.

elies father gets really weak and sick and on january 29th he wakes up to see a different sick person in his dads bunk, elie wanted to feel sad but his consience was saying free at last because he didnt want to take care of his father anymore.

the americans saved the rest of the jews and took them to the hospital to take of them.

A couple days after being treated, elie was finally able to get up and when he went to look at himself in the mirror, he will never forget that look in his eyes, it was like a corpse was comtemplating him.

Elie's foot was very infected in the wimter and he decided to see the doctor, then he had to get an operation on it and couldn't walk on it for a few weeks.

A couple days after elie's operation, he heard they were going to march soon so elie went out of the infirmerary to see his dad to know what to do, and they decided to march and they were last block to march.

they were foreced a 100 jews in a cart this time and at the end only 10 or 12 were left elie was sixteen. They arrived in Buchenwald.
