Myspace was made in 2003 and this is what kicked off social media.
In 2004 Facebook started and this is still very popular even today and also made social media as popular as it is today.
2005 Youtube was made and this allowed people to make videos with their friends and create a form of enterntainment.
In August 2007 SoundCloud was made and allowed people to stream thier favorite music.
