Between July 16 and 24 specifically the 21st, he was the commander of the historic Apolo 11 mission and starred in the first human being to walk on the moon, on the surface of our satellite. A Saturn V rocket was used for this feat. Armstrong was the first to set foot on the lunar surface on July 21 and stayed for 2 hours and 14 minutes. The crew was composed of Michael Collins, command module pilot, and Edu Aldrin, in charge of piloting the lunar module.
