    Senate Confirmation Hearings for U.S. Supreme Court The Senate Judiciary Committee heard testimony from Thomas as to why he would make an outstanding Supreme Court Justice. Then-Sen. Joe Biden was the chairman of the committee who also heard testimony from a former EEOC employee who claimed Thomas sexually harassed her. Anita Hill testified before Congress that Thomas made untoward comments at her. Hill was a law professor at the University of Oklahoma.
