    AIMAIM was a Native American activist group that was formulated in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The goals of the group involved spirituality, leadership, and sovereignty. The group gained popularity across the US as Native Americans were upset with police harrassment, poverty, treaty problems, and housing. As the group was starting out, they were often times violent.

    -It also sparked more than 200 instances of civil disobedience among Native people.

    - In 1996 Eloise Cobell filled a lawsuit on the United States due to the discrepancies in the management of funds for lands held in trust by the United States that she discovered.
    - In 2010 a verdict was finally reached allocating $3.4 billion into the Native American community into 3 different organizations now know as the Claims Resolution Act.
