    The Native American internal migration physicaly started with the indian removal act, however its earlier roots were the European expolation, the dieases that they brought over, and the greed for land by the europeans started the internal migration of native americans.

    Columbus arives in the Caribbean and finds Native Americans. The Europeans automaticly assume they control the Indians. From then on Indians were teated like savages.

    Columbus documented in his journal that the Native Americans were simple and had no sufficent weapons to defend themselves and "would make fine servants." He even boasted that "With fifty men we could subjugate them all and make them do whatever we want." This started the trend of Europeans oppressing and enslaving native populations.

    After Columbus' discovery in 1492, European exploration of the Caribbean and parts of the North and South American mainlands began. With this exploration disease began to spread weakening the civilizations already pre-established, and eventually led to the conquest of the New World.

By the year 1592, it is estimated that over 18 million people had died of smallpox, mumps, measles and other European diseases.

Thoughs who tried to escape the burning village were shot down Significant because it shows how the British held the natives to very little regard while in early contact.

    Andrew Jackson passed this Act that authorized the president to negociate with the souther indian tribes, for their removial to west of the mississippi river in exchang for their homeland. This event has been called the trail of tears. Many indians died thus the name.

Eventually the Supreme court desided that if native americands are tried by a tribal court on a reservation the federal government does not hae jurisdiction to interfere or overturn.     Due to the evidence provided in this timeline, it is now evident that the west-ward migration of the Native Americans started before the Indian Removal Act because of disease, violence, and the greed of Europeans drove the Natives to move west in attempts for safety. This is different to the West-ward migration of Americans and Europeans via Manifest Destiny, because while the Americans were seeking cheaper land and a better way of life, the Native Americans were trying to preserve their culture
