    George Washington
    George Washington took the oath of office on April 30, 1789. He had been the 1st President that the US ever had. He and Congress had to try to create an entirely new gov, He helped with Hamilton's idea of Bank of the United States. He served 2 terms and said that he wanted every president after him to do the same.
  • Whiskey Rebellion

    Whiskey Rebellion
    The Whiskey Rebellion took place during 1794. There had now been tax on Whiskey. The farmers clearly hated the idea because this was their main source of profit. The farmers had even said that they wouldn't pay the taxes for it.
  • Election of 1800

    Election of 1800
    There is no "specific date" into when the election started, But it had occured during April - October of 1800. The election had been between Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. Some had even called it "Revolution of 1800" because the election was so intense. Each had different opinions. In the end, Jefferson won.
  • War of 1812

    War of 1812
    The war had been against the United States and Great Britain. Both countries had decided to stop trading with eachother. The conflict didn't finish until Britain has agreed to sign a treaty.
  • Mexican-American War

    Mexican-American War
    The Mexican and Americans had been fighting over land because each wanted to expand their territory. They were both fighting over Texas.
