Construction of the new college campus begins at Sanford Street next to the convent. The first stone was laid by William Bernard Kelly, the first Bishop of Geraldton.

• Many celebrations took place in commemoration of the Presentation Sisters’ 50 years of service in Geraldton since their foundation in 1891. Guests arrived from throughout the state.
Boarding students were evacuated to Mt Magnet due to disruptions from World War II.

New College colours were introduced. Old gold and black were selected as the College colours. The emblem was a simple design, incorporating a gold Celtic Cross with stars representing the Southern Cross on a black field.
