I also don't remember these exact dates. I served in the Navy and is an expert deep sea diver on the San Diego-based U.S.S. Kittiwake. I was honorably discharged. Loving a good story, I never contradicts the rumor that emerged during my campaign – that I was dishonorably discharged (like so many others) for being gay. -

First Campaign for City Supervisor
I lost my first supervisor election. People did not take me seriously as a candidate. My appearance, along with my support for the legalization of marijuana, prevented many conservatives from voting for my. Even still, I won liberal neighborhoods and won 16,900 votes. I came in 10th out of 32 candidates. -

I Campaign Against the Briggs Initiative
Proposition 6, or the Briggs Intiative, was a public campaign supported by State Senator John Briggs that would disallow homosexual people, or anyone who supported homosexulity, from teaching in the California Public Schools. Over the course of three months, I led a campaign, and eventually a march, of 250,000 to 375,000 people. -
Proposition 6
Proposition 6 would have authorized the firing of gay teachers and their supporters, is defeated due in part to my diligent campaign against it. -
Resignation
Dan White, My fellow supervisor, resigns, claiming that he cannot support his family on his salary. He later asks for his job back, but is refused. -
Assassination
Dan White assassinates Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone at City Hall.
