  • First Steps

    It was a big struggle for me to learn how to take my first steps. After 6 months of crawling, trying to get up for the first time took a lot of energy. To balance yourself was one thing, but to take step after step was a great amount of effort. But I got used to it and eventually, I started running!

    When it was almost time to start school, I didn't know the language of English, I only knew Gujrati as a first language.
  • First Pets

    My first pets were a cat and a bird. My cat's name was Ernie and my bird's name was Junior. Ernie was white and had very faded grey strips. Junior was snow white with a huge black beak.
  • First Hockey Game

    The first time I went to the Air Canada Centre was when I went to watch my first hockey game. The teams that played were the Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Rangers. The final score was 4-2. Toronto lost the game.

    My first camp trip was with my school. It was significant because I learned how to adapt with nature in certain circumstances. That trip taught me to canoe, hunt, hike, find food, and most importantly, to have fun.

    My first trip to Florida was an amazing experience because Florida is the sunshine state, so it was good to get away from the cold of winter in Toronto. It was also nice to observe 6 different states while driving down there.

    This is significant because the lessons on the trip taught me how to ski and it was an awesome experience to fall, gain speed, go on sharp turns, and go on a ski lift.
