  • Elementary Computer Lab

    Elementary Computer Lab
My first memory of using technology in the classroom was playing Oregon Trail in Elementary School. We had huge headphones and computers in the lab. No one in my family had a computer, so I loved goin to the lab.
  • Only computer class before college

    Only computer class before college
I had one technology class before college. Unlike today's students technology was not intergrated into the classroom, so this was the only really exposure to computers I had. My grandparents thought I was a technology prodigy, but really I just knew how to type fast :)

    Typing Final Drafts

One thing I really disliked in school was writing three drafts of an essay before typing a final draft. Editing tools were very inderutilized by my teachers :)
  • First Computer in Home

    First Computer in Home
My parents FINALLY bought a home computer around 2001. We had the dial tone internet connection and AOL. Looking back I could have made much better use of the internet both personally and as a student.
  • Needed to use tech at work

Needed to use tech at work
After high school graduation, I found myself needing to use technoogy to work. I faked it until I made it!!
  • Period: to

    Constantly Updating

Due to necessity, I am constantly searching for more reliable, efficient tools to complete tasks. Before teaching, my professional life could have survived with only an internet connection and Excel program. This is my forst year of teaching and my technology use has increased exponentially in number of programs used, searchs for new programs, searches for how to use new programs, and questions asked to students when the programs don't work as intended.
  • Fully Integrated

    Fully Integrated
Today, technology is intergrated into nearly every aspect of my personal and professional life. As an educator, I know that today's tools are evolving quickly and my students will undoubtedly have a different technolgy landscape. I feel like I can best serve them buy providing exposure to tools to network and find more efficient tools to complete tasks.
