Red Deer College
Resumed my path to my Education degree, this time through Red Deer College -
University of Alberta
Early acceptance into the Bachelor of Education Middle Years Collaborative Degree program offered through Red Deer College was granted in March 2015 due to my AGPA being 3.88 which exceeded the 3.7 requirement. I then began this portion of the program in September of 2015. -
IFX Practicum
I completed a five week practicum at St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School in Red Deer, AB. -
Red Deer Child Care
After the third year in my Education degree program, I accepted a position working with Red Deer Child Care providing before and after school care as well as full time care over the summer months. I continued my employment until November of 2016 as I had decided to take a one year break from the program due to the upcoming arrival of my second son. During this time, I worked closely with a young boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder. -
Extended practicum
I was approved for and participated in an opportunity for extended AFX practicum field experience. This allowed me to become familiar with the staff, students, and school layout before beginning my official practicum placement. -
Lennon
The arrival of my second son. I decided to take and was granted a one year pause to my program to focus on my new baby boy and the rest of my family. -
University of Alberta
I resumed my forth year of the Bachelor of Education Collaborative Middle Years program after taking a year off due to the birth of my second son.
