Our family friend melony was really sick and she had to go into surgery. I would pray for her with my mom and while she was in the hospital I wrote her a little note saying that she was in our prayers and when she got out she gave me such a caring hug, and with tears streaming down her face she called me her little angel.

    Defining moment # 3
My brother ran away from home. He packed a little backpack and was yelling and crying, but my parents were calm. I remember panaking. I was so worried about him and couldn't understand why my parents weren't. They tried explaining that he was going to come back. He barely made it down the road and my grandma and aunt lived right down the street. We got a call from my aunt and a few minutes later he was back. This moment made me appreciate him and I understood that life without him is hard.

I brushed myself off and started going again. You wouldn't believe what happened next! I crashed into the other tree. I was really hurt, but I was proud of myself for getting back up and trying again. I learned that even something may be hard, complaining and standing defeated isn't going to get me anywhere.
  • Defining moment #2

    Defining moment #2
One summer night I was outside with my mom and dad and they were trying to teach me to ride a bike without trianing wheels. We lived in pueblo and we had a circular driveway and two trees positioned almost next to each other. I was getting hang of it and by the end of the night I almost made it all the way around the circle, but I was yet to face the true test, the trees. I started to wobble, and somehow managed to crash into the pine tree, all the way under near the sappy trunk.
