    When I got older, I was allowed to start doing competitions for piano. I would play 2 pieces and the judges would rate me 1-5

    I played viola for a year in 5th grade

    I started playing the flute in 6th grade

    In 7th grade I started competing in the school music contest.

    I started marching band my freshman year of high school

    I was given the opportunity during my high school years to audition for the district honor band

    Springfield Youth Symphony

    I auditioned for the Youth Symphony at the end of my 8th grade year.

  • Became A Section Leader

    I became the flute section leader sophomore year

  • State Band

    My sophomore year, I auditioned for the State honor band. I didn't ever make it though.

  • Became Parade Drum Major

    I auditioned to be drum major the end of my sophomore year and was awarded the position of parade drum major.

  • Became Head Drum Major

    At the end of my junior year, I auditioned for head drum major.
