My Experiential Learning Timeline

  • Passed Mensa Eligibility test and was invited to join the association.

    Mensa is an Association of members who score as a genius in the top 2 percentile of standardised IQ tests.
  • Matriculated from High School

  • Had my first son, Ethyn.

    He passed away just before he was 3 months old. This brought on understandable grief and emotional upheaval.
  • Did Legal Studies Diploma course,

    Worked for Dept of Health

    Worked in various departments in administerial roles. Gained invaluable knowledge about public health administration systems .
  • Hospitilised for Nervous Breakdown and diagnosed with BPD.

    Spending time in a psychiatric facilityn as a patient really laid the groundwork for my desire to assist others with mental health issues in getting the help and services they need.
  • Had my second Son, Troy.

    He was born at 32 weeks and was critically premature. He was in NICU for 2 weeks and it was touch and go for quite some time. This was when I was introduced to a social worker for the first time and became more familiar with the field.

    Gained corporate skills and knowledge as well as people skills and management experience.

    Began personal research into mental health and wellbeing.

    Commencing Vipassana Course

    I will be travelling 23 hours via bus to a farm in Worcester where I will take a vow of silence for 10 days and learn the ancient art of Vipassana Meditation discovered by Gautama Buddha 2500 years ago.
