My Athletic Training Literacy Journey

  • Freshman Year

    Freshman Year
    It all started Freshman year of high school, I was a 5'2" tall freshman weighing in at a solid 110 pounds. I was just starting my career and did not know a thing about the profession

  • Sophomore Year

    Sophomore Year
    My knowledge was starting to increase rapidly as I began to learn more about the human body, athletes, athletic injuries, emergency responses, and rehabilitation.
  • Keeping our skills Sharpe

    Keeping our skills Sharpe
    Although not a requirement to be a student athletic training aide, I was Basic Life Support certified and had to keep my skills sharp to always be ready.
  • Junior Year

    Junior Year
    This year I had personal medical problems and I was not learning as much at I could learn, however, I still went after school to the Athletic Training Room whenever I was at school.
  • Giving Back

    Giving Back
    Even though my position as a Student Athletic Training Aide at York Comprehensive High School was 100% volunteer, I still had time to give back to the community by managing with Blood Drives.
  • Senior Year

    Senior Year
    The most rewarding year of my life.
