Muhammad was born in a the town Mecca, a mountain town in the high desert plateau of Western Arabia.

Abu Bakr is born

Muhammad became an orphan at age 5 after his mother passed. He then lived with his paternal grandfather Abdul- Al Muttallb.

Angered by Mecca's new materialism and traditional idolatry, Muhammad would often go to the caves in the mountain to fast and meditate. One time he even claimed to have been visited by the angel Gabriel.

After several of these visiting experiences, he eventually took the scripture he gathered from them and spoke of them to the people from a book called the Qur' an.

Abu accompanied Muhammad on his travels to Medina

Abu gave his daughter, Aishia up for marriage to Muhammad.

He led the pilgrammage into Mecca to see the ka'aba, and led the prayers at Muhammad's funeral.

After two successors were assassinated, Abu became successor.

After so much in his life, in the year 630Muhammad returned to Medina. For 3 years, he consolidated most of the Arabian penninsula under Islam. In 632 he returned back to Mecca for the last time to perform a pilgrimage in which thousands of Muslims participated as well. After, returning to Medina, he soon passed on.

In his teen years, muhammad worked as a shephard to help pay his keep with his uncle, Abu Tallb. He also travelled with his uncle who was a merchant accompanying caravans to trade centers.

In his early twenties, he entered the service of a wealthy Meccan merchant, Khadlja bint Khawalayd. They were distant cousins. He carried her goods to the north and came back with a profit.

He eventually married aisha, who was 9 at the time. She seemed to love him and respected him.
