    Alexander I
    He conquered Egypt,Syria,Asia Minor,Macedonia,Persia,Greece. Was born on the 23rd of December 1777. He died on the 1st of December 1825 (aged 47). Ended his reign in the 1st of December 1825.
  • Nicholas I

    Nicholas I
    Was the Emperor of Russia from 1825 until 1855. Was also the King of Poland and the Grand Duke of Finland. Abolished several local areas. Bessarabia's autonomy was removed in 1828, Poland's in 1830 and the Jewish cahal was abolished in 1843. Reign ended in March 2, 1855.
  • Alexander II

    Alexander II
    Was emperor of Russia from 1855 to 1881. He is called the "czar liberator" because he freed the poor peasants. His reign is famous in Russian history and is called the "era of great reforms."
    His reign ended in March 13,1881.
  • Alexander III

    Alexander III
    Assumed the throne after the assassination of his father, Alexander II. He supported Russian nationalism. His political ideal was a nation containing a single nationality, language, religion, and form of administration. His reign ended in November 13, 1881.
  • Nicholas II

    Nicholas II
    Was the last Emperor of Russia, Grand Duke of Finland, and titular King of Poland. Critics nicknamed him Bloody Nicholas because of the Khodynka Tragedy, Bloody Sunday. As head of state, he approved the Russian mobilization of August 1914, which marked the beginning of World War I. His reign ended in March 15,1917.

    Was a wave of mass political and social unrest that spread through vast areas of the Russian Empire. Some of it was directed against the government. Ended in 1908.
  • Bloody Sunday

    Bloody Sunday
    Occurred in Russia in January 1905. Workers, unarmed, had marched to the Winter Palace to present a petition to Nicolas II asking for certain reforms. Which led to Russian troops opening fire on this demonstration, killing hundreds of people.
