  • Genetic Limits

    When I ate better, I tried to excercise to lose weight and found it hard to maintain my body shape, my parents both are overweight this gives me high chance of staying overweight- I started eating better, excercise and my body has its limit, I could not be as thin as I had hoped for. As long as I stayed in shape, I accepted my body the way it is.
  • The Beginning

    At my sweet 16 birthday party my mom told me that I will practice on becoming an adult, so she gave me the idea of independency. I did not feel like I became adult until I was 26 years old. I believe it is because I lacked logic and communication skills due to language barrier at home. I think it is normative event that I am going through but as an individual the non normative event would be the communication barrier that I lacked growing up, although today it seems more common.
  • 4.1 Young Adult Role Transition

    accepting responsibilities, beliefs, finding relationship, prepare for the future marriage, kids, house. The major challenging was job didn't pay well for my bills, college took away dating time, hard to be in relationship between work and school. I struggled on conceiving after marriage. I also struggled on finding a good Sunday church.
  • 3.1 Prospective Memory

    I had a great prospective memory until I had my first baby, I notice that for each time I think ahead or plan ahead, I slipped few planned actions. It becomes more challenging after my 3rd baby, I am not able to keep up with my PM so I take notes instead. Don't trust your brain so they say... :)
  • 7.2 Transistions

    Integrated to self transcendent - a mediation to rest my mind from stress with work, family, worrying about my children, worried about my parenting style, I resigned my job and a lot of uncertainties arises as a mom with smal financial support. With mediation over time I became relaxed and clear minded on seeking out for new job adventure and got a job!

    I am increasing in the ability to adapt when it comes to new information or new pattern, when I am not tired I can pick up new concept and work through it. With some situations, I need to use logics in order to solve certain issues.

    I took the RIASEC test and it states that my result are social. Looking into the career choice- Nurse was my first choice but more than 10 years ago college did not accept deaf nurse,Occupational Therapist was my second choice now my choice is somewhat Psychology Teacher. my other result is investigate. yes, It fits my traits I like seeing people overcome their obstacles.

    I started working as an aide at 19 as growth, I was still going to school in parallel to college time. I am at the stage of developing work related attitude and applying college to establish control of life. As for maintenance, when I stopped from college for a while but continued to work as form of establishment by stabilizing and staying there. When I am 65 I plan to retire and settle down and think about my future plans before I die.

    Life is where you belong, where you are the story to life. As for me I feel that I am at conjunctive faith early in life, among many others that are fixed or remain true to something thet believe in. I find myself really open to all options and just let life take its course. I seek for balance and have great tolerance towards others however they feel they do not understand my perspective. A lot of people have tried to control me and tried to point out which life directions to take.
  • 2.4 Potential Consequences of my lifestyle

    I did not have proper eating lifestyle- and have just recently started eating better after my 3rd pregnancy. My dad and my sister had heart attack countless of time because of their poor eating habit. I started eating better June 2016 and have lost weight and since then start controlling my sugar intake and focus more on veggie my way. If I continue this way I have less chance of obtaining cardiovascular disease.
  • 4.2 Older Adult Role Transistion

    So this role would be after having marriage, kids and start thinking on planning ahead with life when we hit a wall, we would need to be ready on where we will be at, where our retirement would be at, and cost of funeral is paid for, do our will, who, where or what it would go to.
