    Genghis Khan lead a conquest of an empire, that by 1279, included China, Iran, Iraq, Most of Russia, as well as Central Asia.
  • Chinese control over Mongolia was finished.

    Chinese control began in 1691, but the fall of the Manchu Dynasty lead to a new era for the Mongols. The new ruler was the Living Buddha of Urga.
