Throughout the 1970's, Mick started to try new genres of music. An example of some of his experimenting is in the album 'Some Girls'. In the remainder of the 70's he went on tours with The Rolling Stones.

Mick decided to start going solo and he made the album 'She's the Boss'. This album wasn't as successful as the albums with The Rolling Stones. Keith and Mick were also at a bad point in their relationship.
