    The speech called for end of 300 years of Spanish rule, the redistribution of land and recial equality. Thousands of indians and mestizos flocked to Hidalgos banner of the Virgin of Guadalupe and soon the peasant army was on the march to Mexico City. This started in small town of Dolores.
