    The Spanish took over all of Mexico. It occurred because the Spanish wanted more land so they came to Mexico. Spain wanted to have colonies. This was significant because it kind of taught Mexico how to run a government so when they were free they knew what to do.

There was a new holiday that was made for this day, Cinco de Mayo. This was significant because the Mexicans new they could win.

    It occurred in a small village. It occurred because he was leading an army that protested and a lot of people didn’t like that. A general sent a guy out to kill him. It is significant because the people on his side kept protesting but then it died down. The EZLN was made in honor of him. It was a military group.
