  • Spain accepts Mexican Independence

    Spanish Viceroy Juan de O'Donujú sign the Treaty of Córdoba, which approves a plan to make Mexico an independent constitutional monarchy.

    During the Texan War for independence, the Texas' militaunder Sam Houston launches a surprise attack against the forces of Mexican General Sanata Anna along the Jacinto River. USA won.
