Abraham Harold Maslow is born

He attended City College then transfered to Cornell Univeristy in 1927 but dropped out after a semester due to low grades and high costs. He graduated from City College and went on to receive his undergrad from the University of Wisconsin for a psychology degree

When attending UW he was an experimental-behaviorist. Due to the recommendation of Professor Hulsey Carson, he wrote his thesis “learning, retention, and reproduction of verbal material”. He completed his thesis in the summer and received his master’s in psychology. Due to him being embarrassed because the paper, he took it out of the psychology library and removed it from the listing.

Maslow's theory was released in two articles due to Carson's encouragement of his work.
