the Oregon Trail was a trail started by fur traders who moved far west to where current day oregon, washington, idaho, and parts of Montana are. the land was better for farming and there was plenty of animals for fur. Missionaries were people who went to oregon country and converted NAs to christianity. many people came over until around 1840.
