The land stretched all the way from the east; the Mississippi River all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. The Louisiana purchase is considered the best achievements of Thomas Jefferson's presidency. It is important to the United States because it brought more land to the U.S.

This is important for the U.S because it caused more racism and segregating people

    In May 7, 1915 a Germany U-boat bombed the British steamship, called the Lusitania. It killed approximately about 1,128 people and about 128 Americans. The Lusitania was launched to carry passengers. This event is important because it led to World War 1.

    During this time period of the Prohibition, people were not allowed to deal with alcohol. Anything that had to do with importing, transporting, producing, or consuming alcohol was against the law. Many individuals during this time period from 1920-1933 benefitted from the fact that alcohol was illegal and decided to go through the illegal distribution of alcohol. This affected the United States because it was a big change for the American people but it helped households and society in general.

    The atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a devastating event for the Japanese cities. The effects on these cities were terrible from wiping out majority of the population. The Japanese surrendered to World War ll because they were over the whole trajectory of the war. These bombings were an impact to the U.S because they were able to get rid of one of their opponents during the war.

    The Civil Rights Movement was put in place mainly to gain equal rights for the blacks. The goal of these events was to have them given the same rights that other white American people already enjoyed. Many different events occurred during the civil rights movement including protests and different types of altercations. This impacted the United States because from this point on there was equality all around for both colored and white individuals.
