    Magna Carta

    Magna Carta
    in 1215,the king of england thought he could do anything and everything he desired.The citizens of england fought against the king and won. Once they had beaten him, they forced him to sign the Magna Catra. The document was a promise that the king would never take away peoples land, take farmer crops, etc. Overall it put limits on the kings power.

    French and Indian War~ 1754 to 1765
    This war was fought between Britain and New France.Since the french were out-numbered, they allied with the Indians. It began with a disagreement over the control of the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers. The arguement erupted into violence and started the Franch and Indian War.
  • Boston Tea Party.

    Boston Tea Party.
    This event happened because of the Tea Act. Britain made a law that the colonists could only buy tea from England. The angered colonists dressed as Native Americans and raided three british ships. During their raid they dumped 340 chests of tea into the harbor.

    The American Revolution was a political upheaval between the 13 colonies and Great Britain. The american colonial society rejected the authority of th British parliment to tax them. During 1773 ,protests by rebelious colonists -known as patriots- continued to escalate. The british responded by enforcingg laws like the coercive Acts on Massachusetts. The tension increased to the out break of war.

    This purchase was made by the current president, Thomas Jefferson. He bought france from Napolean for $15 million. Meaning he bought every acre of land for three cents. This purchase is very significant because it doubled the size of the United States.

    The causes of the war was because the british angered the Americans by interfering with trade. They siezed U.S. cargo and intimidated our sailors. The U.S. army and navy were small and our military was poorly trained. In the end we won and Americans gained patoitism and nationalism for the United States

    This event happened because of the Indian Removal Act. The law forced Native Americans to leave their homes in Georgia and move west of the Mississippi River to indian territory; Oklahoma. About 4,000 cherokee indians died on the way to the territory

    This book is based on slave life and was written by an abolishonist. Hariette Beecher Stowe, the author,caused quite the uproar between the north and south. Her book had a major influence in the way Americans viewed slavery. Also the novel caused even more tention between the North and South.

    When the war began, Lincolns goal was to keep the United States together. Brothers,friends, and soldiers fought against eachother. This war is known to be the most bloodoiest war in american history. After the Gettysburg Address, Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant at the McLean house in Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia. The north had won.
  • Lincolns Assassination

    Lincolns Assassination
    President Lincoln as enjoying the play "Our American Cousin" with his wife after the civil war. John Wilkes Booth, a famous actor, snuck into Lincoln's balcony. John was a supporter for the south in the civil war and blamed Abraham for starting a war. John shot Abraham in the back of his head and President Lincoln died the next day.
