I was able to read and write before I started Elementary School in Korea.

I didn't struggle with reading and writing. I was also expert on reading and writing in Korea.

I moved to United States as immigrant and started to learn English, and everything was very new to me. I had hard time understanding new language. Because the English literacy of reading, writing, and speaking was different than Korea literacy, I stressed out a lot.

My english started to get better with teacher's help in ESL class. I was hard on reading and writing, but speaking was not improving. I had a lot of Korean friends, and that caused me to have hard time to improve my speaking.

I became a freshmen in high school, I started to get more new friends and started to use my english more. All the new friends came from different countries, and it gave my a lot of opportunity to speak more in english to talk to them.

I started to study more and improve my literacy skills to graduate from ESL class.

I finally finished or graduated from ESL class and took the normal English class with peers. The normal class was very different than ESL, but I still had good time learning.

During my senior year, I prepared for my college application and graduated from High School.
