  • Learning to ride a bike

    Learning to ride a bike
I was 4 when I learned how to ride a bike. My dad taught me and whenever he wanted to take the training wheels off, I wouldn't let him. I kept being stubborn. Then one day he took them off without me even knowing. When I got on, I noticed they were gone and I wouldn't go. My dad was getting really pissed so he said that if I rode my bike without training wheels, he would take me to Stew Leonard's and get ice cream. I rode my bike and got my ice cream. I learned a little bribe can reward you.
  • When I ran the wrong way in Football

When I ran the wrong way in Football
When I was 7, I was playing flag football. I was still a little new to football so I didn't know everything yet. I was on defence and the ball was snapped and the quarterback threw the ball to his friend but I intercepted it. But I ran the wrong way. I got confused and started running the wrong way. The parents and coaches were laughing and screaming, "Wrong way Nick!" I stopped, turned around, and started running the correct way. I actually scored somehow. Everyone thought that it was funny.
  • When I nearly got kicked off the bus for the entire year

When I nearly got kicked off the bus for the entire year
At my old school, Saint James, I nearly got kicked off the bus for the entire of the year. It was 2nd or 3rd grade and I was on the afternoon bus with my friends. Then one kid who I didn't like came on the bus and sat down in front of me. Me being me, I wanted him gone so I told him to go away. He said no and we got into an argument. I said that I would hit him with a seatbelt if he didn't move. He said that I wouldn't. Then I hit him. I found out that I can't hit people that I don't like.
  • When I nearly ruined Hello Dolly

When I nearly ruined Hello Dolly
During a rehearsal for Hello Dolly, I was on the fly's system. I was waiting for a cue lower the stage right tab. I started to lower it but I needed a signal for when to stop since the stage left tab was in the way. I never got that cue until the holder for the rope to open the tab smacked the box with all the computer drives that controlled the giant LED wall. I was scared shitless when I found out what happened. That is how I nearly destroyed a multimillion piece of equipment.
  • Diagnosed with Crohn's disease

    Diagnosed with Crohn's disease
When I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease, my life was changed forever. Being in the hospital for 17 days not doing anything and being in constant pain gave me time to think. My life was changed forever. Crohn's is an immediate disqualifier from all military service so my future was gone in a blink of an eye. I still had to think about high school and what I was going to do for that. I also had to start researching colleges and plan for my new future that I still had to figure out.
  • When I plagiarized

    When I plagiarized
It was English 11 and I was doing my homework at around 1:00 in the morning. I was too tired to think so I thought of the best idea ever: go on a website that had something relevant to my homework and copy paste it. I did that and since I was so tired, I forgot to change up the wording so I wouldn't be caught. That's where I messed up. I got caught. When my parents found out, they took away everything but TV. The only good thing to come from this is I started watching Game of Thrones.
  • Buying my first car

    Buying my first car
After searching for a car for months and looking at a few, I finally found my first car. A 1968 Pontiac LeMans. The car is in beautiful shape, no rust, minor scratches, and a motor that did not turn over. Getting it home was fun since we had to load it on a trailer by pushing it up the ramps. Imagine pushing a car over 3,000lb up a ramp. Not fun. Once we got it home, it sat for a while under a cover until the snow was gone and then we got to work. As of today, the car runs and needs minor work.
  • When the Patriots won Superbowl 51

When the Patriots won Superbowl 51
It was Superbowl night. I was pumped because the Patriots made it to the Superbowl. I was at the Castellanos house with some friends. Game starts, next thing I know, the Patriots were getting their asses beat. Everyone thought it was game over and some left the 4th quarter. Then they have a big comeback. They go into the first overtime in Superbowl history. Then, they score, winning it all. I was completely surprised at what happened. That night, I learned that anything could happen.
  • Getting my first dog

    Getting my first dog
For years, my brother and I have been begging our mom to let us get a dog. My dad was all for it but he said it has to be a hunting dog. So, after a long time, my mom finally gave in. The type of dog we got is a German Shorthaired Pointer. My brother had to go back to college when we went to get him. We went to Potsdam which is a 5 hour drive. But it was worth it. His name is Tucker and he is the best thing to ever enter my life. He is now 8 months old and still the biggest baby pupper ever.
  • Not going to Military Ball or Junior Prom

Not going to Military Ball or Junior Prom
This was my biggest mistake I ever made. I wanted to go to Military Ball for ROTC as well as Junior Prom. I didn't go to Military Ball because I was not feeling it. I instantly regret it. Now onto prom. At first, I didn't know if I wanted to go but then I decided to go. I asked a girl to prom but she said she might ask some sophomore. I said let me know and then she asked him. I said screw it and didn't go. Then I found out the sophomore blew her off a week before. I instantly regret not going.
