    Muhammad's birthday changes every american year because the islamics run on a different calendar. he was born in the year 570 AD in the city of Mecca.

    Muhammad becoming an orphan

    There is no exact datebut this year(576) he lost his mother. Also, shortly before he was born his father died. By the age of six he was an orphan.

    When Muhammad was five or six his mother took him to an oasis town a few hundred miles north of Mecca, to stay with relatives and visit his father's grave there.

    Visit from an angel

    When Muhammad was about forty, he returned from a visit, that he usually took to a cave in Mount Hira, and told his wife that he had either gone mad or become a prophet, because on that day he was visited by an angel.The angels name was Gabriel. Later Muhammad believed and understood that he had been chosen as the messenger of God.

    Around the year 621 he took one of perhaps his greatest travels ever, when he flew from Medina,where he was living, to Jerusalem to pray and to meditate with some of the biggest and most well known names in religious history. These people wereals there to teach Muhammad about being a prophet and God. Some of this people were Moses, Abraham, and Jesus

    Death of a prophet

    In the year 632 AD Muhammad the prophet died. His followers carried on his teaching and his spirit. On that day he was reunited with his parents and his first love Khadija. Muhammad had a great and full life of about 62 years

    As a young orphan he worked as a shepphard for his uncle. At thye age of nine he joined his uncles cravan to Syria.

    As a young man Muhammad worked as a camel driver between Syria and Arabia Then later, still as a young man he established a carrer managing caravans for merchants.
  • Wealthy Meccan

    In his early twenties, Muhammad entered the service of a wealthy Meccan merchant, a widow named Khadija bint Khawalayd. The two were distant cousins. Muhammad carried her goods to the north and returned with a profit.
  • First job

    Muhammad was now twenty-five and was employed by Khadija who was fifteen years older than him and quite wealthy
  • Happy Marriage

    Muhammad became attracted and eventually married Khadija. By all accounts they had a happy and loving marriage.
  • Losing a friend

    Twenty years after his first marriage with Khadija, she died and he married a different woman
  • Muslims and Meccans

    A treaty was signed between the Muslims and the Meccans.
