My life events (:

  • Learning how to cook

    Learning how to cook
When I was 15 years old, It was the first time that I learned how to make rice. It was awesome to finally learn how to make something. My family would always talk about how back in their day, all children knew how to cook a meal and clean the house but how this generation of kids don't do anything. I learned how to make the best rice and now I even add other ingredients just to give it a new flavor. I even cook for the family once in awhile.
  • Learning how to drive

    Learning how to drive
I've always been nervous to learn how to drive until one day my brother picked me up from school, got out of the car, and told me to drive. That day I drove for the first time and I even dropped off my friend at her house, put gas and drove back home. I was very surprised that I did all of that in just a matter of hours. After that, I continued practicing and got better each day. Now I can say that I'm a good driver and can drive to far distances as well.
  • Quinceañera Birthday Party

    Quinceañera Birthday Party
My quince party is a traditional party for the Hispanic culture it is when a girl finally turns 15 and is turning into a woman. It is very similar to a sweet 16 just that it has more meaning and also throughout the party there are certain activities that occur in a specific order. I chose to do my party in Ecuador because I wanted something different and I wanted to have not all but most of my family present during this special day for me.
  • Getting my first car

    Getting my first car
When I got my first car, it was one of the best feelings ever. My mom had spoken to me about buying me a car but I never took it seriously or even asked her for one. I think I might of just asked twice because it wasn't something that was urgent for me.She finally bought my black Toyota Camry and I couldn't be happier with my car. It helps me a lot and even helps both of us because now I can help her drive or take her places or even go get something and in a way becoming more independent
  • Maturing even more and taking more responsibilities

Maturing even more and taking more responsibilities
After my fathers death, and seeing my mom just worried and tense most of the time. I now manage her business and go there as soon as I finish my homework. I pay her credit cards so they are not past due. I put order and help clean the house. I drive and stay at the business until closing time so she can go home early. And I also talk to my older brother and give him life tips and look after him. ( even if he's the older one )
  • My fathers death

My father and I used to be very close we would spend the weekends together until I turned 7. He went back to Ecuador and we lost so much communication but we would still see each other once in awhile. Things changed and I got older and we weren't that close but there was always that strong love. During my vacation this summer, he passed away at a very young age but I am glad in a way that I was present so I could say goodbye. I'll never forget the memories we made while he was still here.
