Captain Arther Phillip arrived in Sydney cove in: 1788
Capitan Arther Phillip settled Australia and started the colony as NSW. -
Between 1825-1836 NSW took over the biggest/ most part of Australia.The rest of the land was allocated to WA. This meant that there were only 2 states in Australia

Van Demans land was separated from the state of NSW to make a separate colony off the mainland Australia.

From some of the land of NSW a new state was made called "south Australia." The capital of south Australia was called Port Adelaide, now day it's is called Adelaide.

The rest of NSW had been dived into separate colony's. The colonies of Australia were now, Western Australia, New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and the Nothen Territory.

From 1851 gold was decoved in Australia. This was the start of the Gold rush. A lot of peolpe herd of this, most peolpe came from overseas to find gold and have a mining license, thay also came to live in Australia

All the colony's of Australia joined to create the commonwealth of Australia. This meant that Australia was formed as its own country.

Gallipoli 25th of April 1915 ( world war 1 ) was the first time Australia fought as a unified country after Federation.
After Federation this was the biggest event Australia has been in.
