    Henry VIII Becomes King
    Before Henry VIII became heir to the throne, he enjoyed many things. For one, he liked watching jousting tournaments. He loved fine arts such as music (He even composed his own pieces) and painting. He was very athletic and enjoyed playing with his brother Arthur. He was schooled by private tutors, and was very smart. Arthur tragically dies when he`s 10, leaving Henry the throne to claim when he came of age. When he becomes King at the age of 17, he also claims Arthur`s widow.

    Catherine gives birth
    After marrying his brother`s widow, Catherine Of Aragon, she gave birth to a young boy, who ended up dying 6 weeks later. She also gave birth to a girl, Mary. She happened to live past infancy though Henry wanted to divorce Catherine because he thought she could not produce a male heir for the throne.

    Henry breaks away from the church and founds the Church of England, declaring himself supreme ruler. He does this because the Pope refuses to divorce Henry and Catherine.

    Henry declared himself :The only supreme head on Earth of The Church of England." He seperated himself from the Roman Catholic Church and the Pope. This is said to have started the Reformation.

    30,000 people rebelled against Henry`s actions. This was the first big threat to his security. 200 people were later executed, including the leader of the movement.

    Henry meets Jane Seymour
    Henry meets Jane of Seymour, one of Ann`s ladies-in-waiting. He attempts to leave his current marriage by claiming that Ann commited adultery and was plotting to kill him. She was later executed after 3 years of trials.

    Jane gives birth
    Jane has a long waited for son, named Edward. She dies 9 days later due to a pregnancy related infection. Henry considers her to be his only "True wife" and he and his court mourned for some time after her death. Edward was the only male heir to the throne, which meant that if he died, the Tudor dynasty would end. Edward later died at the age of 16, at the time he was King. People thought of him as cold, but he was very affectionate towards his mother.

    Henry marries Anne, sister of the Duke of Cleves. He sends an artist to paint a portrait of her, and is pleased with the portrait. He disapproved of her in person and she was given the title "The King`s sister" and was given a castle to reside in.

    Henry marries Catherine Howard, a cousin of Ann Boleyn. They started out happy, but Catherine soon became interested in men her own age, as she was 19 and Henry was 49. She was charged with aldultery and executed.

    Henry marries his sixth and final wife, Catherine Parr
    Henry marries Catherine Parr. She once tried to ban books, and got herself arrested. She then submitted to Henry and said that she just wanted to know how he would deal with a situation. Henry believed her, not knowing whether it was true or false, and she was back by his side.

    Henry dies. Theories suggest he had Type II diabetes before he died, due to his habit of binge-eating. He was very obese before he died, and had large pus boils all over his face. He relied on machines to carry him around.

    Act of Supremacy #2

    As Elizabeth I ascende to the throne, she declared herself Supreme Governor of the Church of England. She created an oath of Supremacy, which required anyone taking public or church office to swear allegiance to the Monarch. Anyone not taking the oath was put to death.
