This kind of act increased the amount of underground pailroad. This act was written with the intention of enforcing article 4 and section 2 of the U.S constitution. There were many runaway slaves that forced the authorities in free states and by the fugitive slaves by there own masters going around

He wrote this novel because to show how evil slavery was at the time and he expressed his feelings. it changed eveything going around with people got the true meaning of it. It was a huge impact on how the Northerners viewed slavery in the civil war times.

    Stephen A. Douglas had broke the Democratic party leadership over the Lecompton Constitution. It was created for allowing Kansas to be a slave state. The Nebraska act passed Kansas that allowed them to determine if they could eneter the union as a slave or to be free. It was the second of four that proposed constutions for the state of Kansas.
