My Life

  • Younger Brother Being Born

    Younger Brother Being Born
My mom always told me that when my brother was first born I never let him out of my sight. I loved him with all my heart, always hugging and giving him kisses. Now 14 years later and I can't stand the sight of him. Not to be mean or anything but he is so rude to me. Right now he's been going through puberty and he's gotten very tall and his voice has changed too. He's very blunt and always speaking his mind always telling me what he doesn't like and like about me. I don't hate my brother.
  • Getting hit in the face

    Getting hit in the face
This was back in 4th grade when we did intramural program was being done with the C.V.Starr kids going to the Elementary School to monitoring the younger kids and just play around with them. We were playing dodge boll that day, and I remember the ball coming right towards my face. The feeling of the slap against my cheek and hearing my glasses fall to the ground. Even though it was back in 4th grade I still remember the exact person who threw that ball and hit me square in the face.
  • Phone Going off During an Exam

Phone Going off During an Exam
It was the last few days of 5th grade when we finally had to take our ELA test. I sat down ready to take the test. We were about 20 minutes or so into the test when all of a sudden this music starts playing no one notices for a while then after a few seconds everyone looks up and looks around and it doesn't take me long to realize it was my phone that was going off in the middle of an exam. I immediately got up frantic turning my phone off. I will never live this day down.
  • Joining the School Track & Field Team

Joining the School Track & Field Team
Deciding to join the Track & Field team in 7th grade was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Track is one of the few sports I actually enjoy doing. I remember not wanting to at first but the modified team in 2013 was the best team with the most amazing people. Now 5 years later and I'm a senior about to start Indoor Track and Field and I am now realizing how much I'm going to miss the team and being able to just put aside all my problems and run/throw it all out.
  • Getting My Dog

    Getting My Dog
In 2014 my first dog Max died a few weeks later we decided to get a new dog. Getting that opportunity to get another dog was amazing. I remember that day exactly it was one of the worst snow storm days. The weather was terrible the snow was heavy and we were driving all the way to the city. I remember seeing Jack for the first time and falling in love. He's half Poodle and half Bichon Frise. He's a beautiful black and white puppy small the size of a shoe.
  • Singing to a large crowd

    Singing to a large crowd
We were doing a special at my church for National Youth Day and for years I've always wanted to go up there and sing my heart out. I knew that that year was the year I needed to put myself out there and do this for myself. When I was singing the words just flew right out of my mouth it wasn't perfect but nothing ever is. I finally did the thing I wanted to do the most I not only made my parents proud but I also surprised the whole church. I will always remember this amazing moment forever.
  • First SAT

    First SAT
I have very bad performance anxiety and to be sitting in a desk for 3 hours taking a test is one of the hardest things I will ever have to do. Being at a completely different school with people you don't know and being unaware of your surroundings is what I had to deal with when I took my SAT in John Jay. I walked in not knowing where to go and not knowing any teachers. Anxiety took over and I was not as focused as I should have been. I will need to work on test taking and controlling anxiety.
  • Passing My Road Test

    Passing My Road Test
For months I had been practicing for this day. Nerves were there for weeks before and after the test. Practicing hours a day for about 2 weeks was definitely the most tiring things I'd ever done. The day of the test we got there about 45 minutes early and were the first ones there. I was getting to nervous sitting there just waiting. While taking the test I could feel my heart beating so fast in my chest and my palms sweating like crazy. Almost failing was not a surprised but I passed!
  • Driving The Wrong Way

    Driving The Wrong Way
My family and I had gotten back from a college visit at Buffalo early that morning and no one was willing to take up and take me to Mt. Kisco for practice. I decided to stop by Dunkin Donuts before leaving Brewster and got on the highway. 30 minutes later and I was getting worried because it was taking a little longer than usual. I turned on my GPS and it turned out I had been going the wrong way and I was now 45 minutes away. To this day my parents will have no idea this happened.
  • First Job

    First Job
I was trying to get a job for about a year now and had a few interviews. The day we went to Bounce they hired me on the spot! I remember my mom texting me because she wanted to leave, I took about 2 hours between the interview. I've only been working for about 3 weeks but, I'm happy to say that I love my job! I'm surrounded by amazing people with great personalities, and even though the little ones may be a pain they are always laughing and having fun, it brightens my day to see them care-free.
