    The roots of Judaism date back to around 1800 BCE, when Abraham refused to worship the idols which were common during that period. He is considered by most Jews to be the first to believe in a single God above all others. Judaism in its more organized form has began with Moses, who is believed to have received the Ten Commandments from God on Mt. Sinai after the Israelites' Exodus from Egypt, around 1300 BCE.

    Orthodox
    Orthodox Judaism dates back to the days of Talmud which was roughly between 2nd and 5th centuries. This was the only form of practice prior to the 18th century, before reform Judaism. Orthodox Judaism tries to maintain the classical or traditional Judaism. Orthodox Jews believe in the Torah and Conservative Jews believe in the bible. Orthodox Jews believe that God is a spirit rather than a form where as conservative Jews are very open minded with the view of God, they believe that the concept
  • Reform Judaism

    Reform Judaism
    Reform Judaism was the second denomination (after Orthodox) and it started in the late 18th century. Orthodox and Reform Jews believe in the Torah. Reform Judaism allows a varied interpretation of the concept of God. Reform Jews are also known as Liberal or Progressive Jews. Like the Orthodox Jews, Reform Jews do not believe in original sin either. Sin is reinterpreted as the ills of the society.

    Conservative Judaism is the most recent denomination seeing as it started in the 19th century. Conservative Judaism tries to maintain basic traditions with adopting to modern life. Conservative Jews believe in the bible. Conservative Jews are very open minded with the view of God, they believe that the concept of God is flexible and God is considered impersonal and ineffable. Conservative Judaism has the highest number of followers in comparison to Orthodox and Reform Judaism. Conservative Jews
