  • Factoring

We need to factor quadratic equations to find out the time and height of the projectile. Also, factoring we would be able to find an equation. Using the equation we could use it to find out and make a graph of the projectile.

  • Quadratic Formula

The quadratic formula is -B +/- square root of (B)^2 -4(A)(C) divided by 2(B). The formula helps us find the x's when they are to hard to find without the formula. One problem that i had to use the formula for is -771.82 +/- square root (771.82)^2 -4 (-490)(58.815) divided by 2(-490). I find out the total sum of all of them so I simplyfy and then I follow the process. Then my final awnser is the seconds it takes to land so the begining and end.
  • Projectiles Formula

The forward velocity equation is Projectiles Initial Velocity Cos(angle of launch) and to find how far it will travel you have to use the fhe formula Forward Velocity(T). So my formula was (1007.54)Cos(45) which gave me my forward velocity of 712.4 Then to find out my distance I used 712.4(3) which gave me 2137.2
  • Angles of Launch

The time that the projectile stays in the air is affected greatly by the angle of launch. The closer you are to 90 degrees the longer it will stay in the air although it will have less distance. The closer to 0 you are the less distance and less time you have. Although 45 degrees is perfect for shooting projectiles because it stays in the air for longer and gives more distance.
