The History Behind our Relationship

  • Ehwa Woman's University

    Ehwa Woman's University
    In 1963, the dance department at Ehwa Woman's University was built. The dance department helped the students enhance their expressions and creativity through dance and music. Our Dance department has prooduced many wonderful dance artists and many of Korea's traiditional performances have been held here. If this department wasn't built, I wouldn't have graduated here. This experience was special becaus of how I got to learn Korean traditional dance and ballet at the same time.

    Raymond was born in New York City on October 6, 1971. He stayed in America for a few years and moved to Seoul, Korea when he was in fourth grade.

    I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.
  • I decided to become a professional ballerina

    I decided to become a professional ballerina
    When I was at a really young age, around the age of 4 or 5, I was watching a ballet show on TV. The moment I saw the graceful dancers, I fell in love with ballet. Since then, I had a dream to become a ballerina. I would take ballet lessons, dance in front of peope, and dream every night of me on stage, dancing just like the people I saw on TV. This is when my future career dream began.
  • I moved to Korea.

    I moved to Korea.
    I han't stayed in Utah for a long time. When I was 8, I left Utah and moved to Seoul, Korea. I started 1st grade once I got there. Luckily, my parents would always speak Korean with me, so it wasn't difficult for me to adjust to the new place. Even in Korea, I would learn ballet, and still work my way to my dream. I would do recitals and do my best in every performance, so that people will remember me later on.
  • I met Raymond for the first time

    I met Raymond for the first time
    I was going to a Korean school and when I was in 4th grade, there was a new student that transferred to my school. He was a boy from New York City. I wanted to get to know him because we were both from America. He was really smart and he was also really good at soccer. Since 4th grade, we were in the same class all the way through 6th grade. After elementary school, we split and went to different middle schools. Still, luckily, we kept in touch and met a few times coincidentally.
  • I got accepted to Ehwa Woman's University

    I got accepted to Ehwa Woman's University
    I got accepted to go to Ehwa Woman's University. At the university, I studied performing arts and majored in ballet. I stayed at the college for two years and then for one year, I went back to America. After staying in America for one year, I came back to Korea. I finished my ballet studies for the rest of the two years and the same university.

    I graduated at Ehwa Woman's University as a ballet major.
  • Modeling at a ballet company

    Modeling at a ballet company
    After college, I got to teach kids ballet. Also, my underclassmen at my university that study fashion and design, they would design an outfit and sometimes the school would hold fashion shows. Sometimes the teachers would ask me to wear the clothes that my underclassmens designed for the fashion show. Lastly, my mom got a job at a ballet company and there, she would model and also do ballet and do performances.
  • Ray and I got married

    Ray and I got married
    Ray and I got married when I was at the age of 26. We got married at a church Saipan as our honeymoon. After the honeymoon, we came back to Korea and Ray went back to studying law while we lived together. A year later, I got pregnant. We moved to a different house and lived happily together. After a few years, we moved to America and loved there untill 2005. Now, we are still living happily with four healthy children!
