    A holy man in Delores, mexico, rang a church bell and called for spanish rule to end. "Will you not defend your religion and rights as true patriots? Long live our Lady of Guadalupe!Death to bad government! Death to the Spaniards!" This cry of Delores created a war for Mexican independence.
